Tweet stamps

Here's a selection of images constructed in Illustrator using a generative process that builds an image out of a tweet stream. The engine is built in AIR and then communicates to Adobe Illustrator via Switchboard to create the text from the loaded tweet, position it randomly and then colour the text based on the pixel values of the source image that the text is positioned upon.

View the Gallery below and click to view a lightbox.

There are high-res versions of the images available to view also. Be warned; these are huge and were created over a period of around 12 hours in Illustrator. You could easily print these at 300dpi should you wish. Feel free.

I'm planning on taking orders to create large fine-art prints of a users Twitter avatar image that they could put up on their wall.

Merry Christmas (9336 x 8577) - this is an image of a homeless person asleep on the floor composed of tweets with the word 'christmas' in them.

Simon Cowell (7500 x 5625) - XFactor was huge at the time so this is composed of 'xfactor' tweets.

Glinner (6523 x 4892) - Graham Linehan is a bit of a fave tweeter so this is a collection of some of his tweets.

Lee Probert (7483 x 5612) - some of my own tweets.
